Tom Wilkenshaw Racing Kit: 1990 Jaguar XJS

I haven't made up my mind about this next car...so I'm going to post it and let you guys tell me if it is right on the money or a bridge too far.  Anyway, the background behind this car is that back in the 80s the management at Jaguar didn't want to spend the money to go racing, but a fellow by the name of Tom Wilkenshaw ran a privateer entry into ETCC (European Touring Car Championship) Group A (that's the big boys) and it was a success.  Watch some on-track action here.  Regardless, the seller tells us that Jaguar sold some 250 examples of the TWR racing body-kits and only 50 remain...various websites both confirm and refute this suggestion...and to be honest...I dunno. The V12 Days of XMas: 1985 Jaguar XJS

The Jaguar V12 engine was launched in 1971 for the E-Type road car, but the design was originally created for the mad XJ13 LeMans racer.  A few years later, the engine was stuffed into the Malcolm Sayer/Doug Thorpe designed XJS...and MANY years later you can get one for the price of a years worth of Starbucks lattes.  Find this 1985 Jaguar XJS offered for $1500 in SF Bay Area, CA via craigslist. Hess & Eisenhardt: 1988 Jaguar XJ-S V12

V8 Powered: 1976 Jaguar XJ-6

The Jaguar XJ-6 was launched in 1968 and I wonder if it even took a week before the first one was powered by a small block Chevy V8.  The shoehorning of SBC into Jags is almost out of hand to the point where it would be considered objectionable...except that they add power/torque/reliability at a reduced cost...so...yeah.  Find this 1976 Jaguar XJ-6 offered for $4,500 in Alameda, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Rock On!

Little Red Dress: 1994 Jaguar XJS Convertible
