The Chrysler LX platform was launched in 2005 as rear-drive replacement for some terrible front-drive Chrysler platform which we won't even dare to mention...but the LX offered some rear-wheel-drive goodness for the Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and Chrysler 300. This platform was launched in the middle of the much maligned Daimler-Chrysler merger era, and the LX platform was the recipient of many Mercedes-Benz parts -- E-Class 5-link suspension, S-Class front control arm, 5-Speed auto gearboxes from Mercedes...yes many Mercedes-Benz parts, and many of them from previous generation platforms...so what is old is new again. Despite the questionable origins, the LX platform did get the benefit of some serious power when Dodge let its in-house gearheads put their Hemi V8s into...well..everything. Find this
