Strange Little Machine: 1984 Dodge Rampage Prospector

This next car comes as a tip from Matt who writes: I usually wouldn't pass on something in this bad shape, but finding a Dodge Rampage in any shape these days is pretty rare. Find this 1984 Dodge Rampage Prospector offered for $1150 in Moreland, GA via craigslist.

Don't Call Me Scamp: 1983 Dodge Rampage

The Chrysler L-platform was a short lived experiment from 1982-84 into the Ute world.  The Dodge Rampage and Plymouth Scamp didn't exactly set the world on fire with roughly 40,000 cars sold over three years.   With all the 2018 interest in camino style of cars and the lack of available options, there should be someone interested in a gently used Dodge Rampage.  There are a myriad of performance turbo engines and drivetrain parts that could help this car move with much more gusto.  Find this 1983 Dodge Rampage for sale in Hinsdale, VT for $4,000 via craigslist.  Tip from Rich.

1983 Dodge Rampage

Some fathers go to great lengths to indulge their daughters.  My daughter liked barbies, so more than a few found their way into our house.  Other dads bought their daughters mini-car-trucks from the 80's and painted them pink.  Find this 1983 Dodge Rampage for sale in Tacoma, WA for $1,950 via craigslist.  This post is part of DT's 2016 Birthday Celebration of 100 cars; enjoy the ride!

Needs TLC: 1982 Dodge Rampage

Remember the Dodge Rampage?  Those things were sweet.  Wait...you don't remember the Dodge Rampage?  Lemme give you a recap --  from 1982 through 1984 Dodge sold the Rampage (and Plymouth Scamp) to fill the needs of the (now dead?) light pickup truck market similar to the Subaru BRAT and Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup.  Caught up?  Great, find this 1982 Dodge Rampage here on eBay bidding for $620 with less than one day to go, located in Highland, CA.

Brat Packer: 1982 Dodge Rampage

In the 1950s and 1960s Dodge sat miserably on the sidelines as Ford and Chevy battled in pickup-car (ute) wars with their El Caminos & Rancheros -- so when Volkswagen and Subaru introduced mini pickup-cars of their own (the Caddy & BRAT) into the market in the late 1970s, the guys at Mopar vowed to suit up and get in the game.  Their entry was a hideous little econobox called the Rampage...and it had a face for radio but a half-ton load capacity and car-like road manners.  Find this 1982 Dodge Rampage here on eBay bidding for $2,151 with a few hours to go, located in Highland, CA.

5k: Midget Trucker: 1983 Dodge Rampage

The Dodge Rampage was a short lived (1982-1984) sub-compact sport utility pickup based on the Dodge Omni/Charger/Horizon/Turismo/Scamp platform.  It isn't exactly a car that will get you a front row parking spot at a club in Beverly Hills, but it'll get lots of attention at central California Cars & Coffee.  Find this 1983 Dodge Rampage here on craigslist, offered for $6,300 in Escalon, CA.
