In Plain Sight: 1993 Ford Probe GT

I was watching some old TV show on my preferred streaming service the other day and it was USA Networks 2008-2012 In Plan Sight...yeah...I know.  Anyway, the main character is a US Marshal lady who puts people in the Federal Witness Protection Program -- and in the first episode she is driving a beat up 1990s Ford Probe.  My car senses tingled and I had to process this...is this the right car for a US Marshal to be driving in 2008?  Why wouldn't she have a Crown Vic company car...and with her own money shouldn't she drive something better?  A few episodes in and it seriously fits the character well and then this tip came through. Find this 1993 Ford Probe GT offered for $2500 near Dallas, TX via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

LeMons Ready: 1995 Ford Probe

The Ford Probe was built based on the Mazda GD and GE platforms in two generations, the first from 1989-1992, and the second from 1993-1997.  It was originally planned to be a Mustang replacement, but enthusiasts and rational people demanded that the Mustang remain rear-whee-drive and V8 powered, so the Probe lasted for a few years as a domestic alternative to the Honda Prelude, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota Celica, Volkswagen Corrado/Golf, and Nissan 200SX.  Find this 1994 Ford Probe GT offered for $1,500 in San Jose, CA via craigslist.  Tip from SafetyFast.

JDM for life- 1994 Mazda MX6 LS KLZE swap

It is not often you find the combination of discreet looks, tasteful modifications, and low cost of entry.  Engine swapped Japanese cars are almost universally derided for their lack of subtlety.  Today's example seems to have defied all fast and furious stereotypes  Find this 1994 Mazda MX6 LS on New Haven, CT Craigslist for $2795.

Alien Probe: 1989 Ford Probe GT Turbo

First generation Ford Probes used to be a common sight.  They were based on the Mazda 626 and had then-futuristic looks with the help of some cheap fancy plastic cladding.  Like so many other period cars, poor quality and susceptibility to corrosion turned them into rarities.  Find a good GT model today and you will have a solid performer worth checking out.   Find this 1989 Ford Probe GT Turbo for sale in Sturgis, MI for $4,750 via craigslist.

1k: Almost A Pony Car: 1989 Ford Probe GT Turbo

Sometimes a car pops up on the DT radar that generates some discussion and dialog between the DT board of trustees, executive directorship, marketing team, various editors emeriti (emeriti ...that is a word I never thought I'd ever have to type..) and the chief of operations.  Wait...you are saying these people are all in my head...no that can't be true...I've met some of them...anyway, the discussion today was focused about this 1989 Ford Probe GT Turbo 5-spd that is offered for $2,000 in Corona, CA via craigslist.
