Won't Trade For MAGA Hat? 1951 MG TD

I think part of the reason I hold on to cars long after I should have sold them to the next guy is because I really hate dealing with "buyers" on craigslist...and when I say "buyers" I am referring to the endless stream of text messagers who feel the need to make unsubstantiated lowball offers without seeing the car.  However, in all my time I've never been offered drugs, confederate memorabilia, or MAGA hats...so I guess it hasn't been that bad of an experience.  Find this 1951 MG TD offered for $8,400 in Mendocino Cty, CA via craigslist.

AC Cobra Lookalike: 1956 MG MGA

Back in the day, before the Cobra kit car industry (led by the likes of Factory Five, All Pro Cars, BackDraft Racing -- read a huge list on kitcarlist.com here) flooded the market with AC Ace lookalikes, if you wanted to drive a Cobra, you either had to drop some serious coin on a real one or do some creative bodywork on an MGA....like this 1956 MG MGA faux-bra offered for $5,000 in Santa Margarita, CA via craigslist. Passed-on Passions: A Mustang, Sprite, MGA, & Greenbrier

This next feature comes from Marve Harwell who put together another Deusy of a comparo. The project car, the epitome of wide-eyed optimism. What fond memories linger of unloading the newly acquired free time eater onto a lovingly cleared patch of garage floor that may never be seen again.  The plan begins with an unrealistic budget, optimistic time table, and a laughable overestimation of our skills, but ends years later as rolling shelf for old tax paperwork and lawn implements.  It takes a big man to take on such a project and a bigger man cave into the wife and finally sell the thing unfinished.  But who is that next wild-eyed dreamer? 10k: Half Cobra: 1958 MGA Custom

The MGA was built by Morris Garage starting in 1955 and ending in 1962.  The MGA was a modern styled replacement for the long in the tooth MG TF/TD and as one of the first majorly restyled cars from Morris Garages after World War II, it represented a significant break from traditional open-fender styling.  Today's example is a hot rod in the best sense of the term and a good deal to boot.  Interestingly enough the idiom to boot comes from old English to bote (or to bat depending on who you ask), which mean literally to the better.  Regardless, when it comes to boots in this car, the only place for one is firmly mashed on the fun pedal!  Find this 1958 MGA Custom currently bidding for $11,100 reserve-not-met with 2 days to go, located in Redwood City, CA via ebay.

The MGA was the first post WWII styled cars from Morris Garages and represented a significant break from traditional open-fender styling.  Today the MGA is a surprisingly affordable car for all of its sleek 1950's styling and a good example will cost you less than a project E-type/Austin-Healey 3000/Mercedes SL from the same era.  Find this 1957 MG MGA for sale in Torrance, CA currently bidding for $18,500 with 30 minutes to go. 

10k: Cool for the Cash: 1956 MG MGA
