5-Speed Swapped: 1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC

The Lincoln Mark VII 1986-1992 (originally called the Continental Mark VII from 1984-1985) rode on the Fox platform shared with the Mustang, Thunderbird, and Cougar. It was powered by Ford's legendary 5.0 V8...but saddled with a basic 4-speed slushbox but this next owner has fixed that with a few parts from a used Mustang. Find this 1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC with 5-speed offered for $3800 in Douglas, PA.

Supercharging Is Not A Crime: 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC

I've seen lots of strange things in craigslist adverts.  Dirty thumbs and oily rags obscure license plates for some unknown reason on a regular basis...and there is a certain subset of the population who can only find time to take pics of their car at the gas station at night (vampires?)..but this next car is a new highlight in the smorgasbord that is craigslist.  I present..the first...the only..crime scene tape in a craigslist photo shoot.  Bravo.  Well done.  Find this 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC with supercharger offered for $8500 in Shepherdsville, KY via craigslist. Tip from Jeff.

Thursday Twister: Factory Air Bags

Welcome to another edition of the  Thursday Twister, DT's favorite quiz game where the answers are written on the wall of men's rooms.  Today, I want to bring up the subject of airbags -- not the aftermarket kind that can be used to slam your whip to the ground, but the stock kind that are used to maintain ride height in luxury automobiles.  The twister today is simple -- just name all the factory air bag equipped cars.

Luxury Sports Coupe: 1991 Lincoln Mk VII LSC

When it was first introduced in 1984, the Fox body based beast you see in front of you was known as a Continental Mk VII. In 1986 the Continental sub-brand was reintegrated into the Lincoln family and it was badged as a Lincoln Mk VII.  It continued to be a bigger, heavier, and more luxurious version of the Ford Mustang (and Thunderbird / Mercury Cougar) through the 1992 model year.  Find this 1991 Lincoln Mk VII LSC offered for $4,995 located in Meridian, ID via hemmings.

1k: End Of An Era: 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC

No matter how many times Lincoln hires Matthew McConaughey to ad-lib his way through a fog of Xanax and red wine, they cannot convince me that they've found their mojo.  The day Lincoln stopped building their 2-door personal luxury monster was the day they became a footnote in automotive history.  Relive the glory days of big, powerful Lincolns with needlessly long doors with this 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC currently bidding for $1,223 with a few hours to go on eBay, located in Holbrook, NY.
