Back when I was a kid in the early 70's, we thought American sedans were land barges, and one would never ever want to own one.  With curb weights of around 4,000lbs and lengths of 19ft, they are almost petite compared to the Bro Trucks and Mommy 'Burbans that clog the roads of today, and I find them strangely attractive.  Find this 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 for sale in Kirkland, WA for $5,500 via craigslist.

The Oldsmobile Delta 88 wasn't always a mid sized malaise era luxury barge powered by smog-choked V8s, there was a time when it was a large luxury barge with enormous gas guzzling smog-belching V8s.  It doesn't' get much bigger than a mid '60s GM B-Body and the 6th generation Oldsmobile Delta 88 was 18 feet long and 4120 lbs.  This 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Convertible is for sale in LA Valley Area, CA for $5500 via craigslist.

The Oldsmobile 88 was a full sized car sold by General Motors from 1949 to 1999, a stunning 50 year production history that started in 1949 as a car that a 30 year old would like.
