I've never been to Serbia, but I hear it is supposed to be a nice place to visit, and the car pictured in the advertisement could very well be in Serbia, but the likelihood that you will get a car delivered in a container 4 to 6 weeks after you send a pile of hard-earned smackeroos to Serbia...well...it's about as likely as Donald Trump becoming the next President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Still...as this past 2 year election has demonstrated, anything...I MEAN ANYTHING can happen.

Just before I was drafted in 1968, I had sold my 1954 Porsche and needed a rat. A friend had a 1959 Taunus 17M parked under a tree. We rebuilt the fuel pump and off I went. It looked kinda like a 3/4 size 56 Ford. It was also red and white. The front seat was shot, so it got a Fiat sedan seat.
ReplyDeleteThe 1.7L four ran well at least compared tot he MG B's and A's I worked on. It had 3 on the tree and I think first was synchronized. I paid $50 bucks and drove it for 5 or 6 weeks. I sold it for $50 and my friend's father drove it to work for more than a year while my friend rebuilt his VW. I don't recall ever seeing another in the flesh.
