Another day, another El Caminoized sedan on the front page of Daily Turismo, but this is no $70k show queen. This is a down and dirty workhorse, a Camino that can win awards at a car show, turn heads, or haul manure with equal aplomb. Find this 1985 Chrysler Fifth Avemino

For the price of the $70k Pontiac LeCamino Tempchero (which isn't a bad looking car I might add) you could pick up each and every single one of the following El Camino'd DT feature cars: Linchero, Zephyranchero, Oldsmocamino, 242Chero, FXCamino, Buick LeCamino, Hellumina, Camryamino, 928ute, and the Belvamino... and still have money left over to buy today's feature.
Under the hood is a 318 cubic inch (5.2 liter) LA-series V8 that was originally designed in the 1960s, but an updated version managed to survive into the 1990s. In this Fifth Avenue the V8 is rated at 142 horsepower and 265 ft-lbs of torque, plenty for general purpose needs.
Overstuffed leather sofa seats and a strange looking steering wheel greet potential drivers. You might be concerned that the two spoke wheel will snap off during hard turning until you feel the overboosted steering and realize this car could be driven with a paper plate glued to the steering shaft.
The functioning tailgate complete with drop-down diamond plate license plate holder is a fantastic touch for this custom. The two storage compartments in the bed are also cool.
