Edd China: The Hero We Don't Deserve

It is with some degree of sadness that we report that Edd China is leaving Wheeler Dealers -- and if you listen to (or read) his video, you will find it is related to Velocity's decision to replace Attaboy TV with an American studio in California -- Edd's words:

Unfortunately, on Velocity’s first attempt at producing the show they found Wheeler Dealers ‘too difficult to make’, ‘at least in its current format’. In particular, the detailed and in depth coverage of my fixes in the workshop; what I consider to be the backbone and USP of the programme, are something Velocity feel should be reduced. The workshop jobs are certainly the hardest part of the show to make and reducing their substance and role in the show will save the production considerable time, effort and therefore money. However, this new direction is not something I am comfortable with as I feel the corners I was being asked to cut compromised the quality of my work and would erode my integrity as well as that of the show, so I have come to the conclusion that my only option is to let Velocity get on with it, without me.

Wheeler Dealer Maserletric: 1985 Maserati BiTurbo EV

Mention the name BiTurbo around a Maserati lover and listen carefully. If he (or a she...it could happen) rave about how great the car is, he probably owns one, but if he moan/groan about mechanical meltdowns, he probably sold it already.  Yes, the twin turbo V6 under the hood wasn't a paradigm of reliability...in fact you could probably say it was about as reliable as gas station sushi...And that is what makes this next BiTurbo so captivating -- keep the Pierangelo Andreani (with heavy influence from Giugiaro's Quattroporte III) styling but add a quiet and planet saving electric drivetrain. This 1985 Maserati BiTurbo EV is offered for $35,000 or best offer in the Orange County area, CA -- email: gregg.wheelerdealer@gmail.com for more details or to make an offer.

DT Radio Show: Weeler Dealer Mike Brewer, Senator Ted Gaines, & Racer Carl Rydquist

What do you get when you combine a UK based Wheeler Dealer, a California state Senator, and a Pirelli World Challenge race car driver?  I have no idea.  But, it is going to be an insane week on the Daily Turismo Radio show.  First, we are going to record an interview with Senator Ted Gaines, the guy behind a fantastic CA classic car bill that will save late 70s classics from the crusher. Next we are going to have ex Formula Drift and current Pirelli World Challenge driver Carl Rydquist joining us in the studio for a live broadcast from our studio at 7PM pacific time on Friday May 6th. Finally we are going to have TV personality and the nicest chap you'll ever buy a second hand car from -- Mike Brewer from Wheeler Dealers on Velocity HD will join us via phone for a recorded segment that will air in the next few days.

15k: Wheeler Dealered: 1975 AMC Pacer

I've always enjoyed watching episodes of the show Wheeler Dealers, and have thought that buying one of their cars would be a great experience.  Mike and Edd always seem to do a decent job fixing issues, and their profit is extremely slim, especially once you factor in the hundreds of hours of Edd's time. As luck would have it, one of the Wheeler Dealer cars is currently up for auction (and available for in person inspection in Huntington Beach, CA today from 10am-1pm).  Find this 1975 AMC Pacer currently bidding here on eBay for $7,600 with less than one day to go, and simultaneously here on eBay for $16,000 buy-it-now.
