Post WWII saw European automobile manufacturers racing to develop and produce economy cars for the general population.  Getting people moving throughout Europe again was a top priority and viewed as healthy for the economy.  Many offerings were rear engine air-cooled models, but none were revered as much as the Fiat 500.  Find this 1971 Fiat 550 L for sale in Ventura, CA for $13,500 via craigslist.

Volpe Pollice: 2004 Alfa Romeo Spider Lusso

The Alfa Romeo GTV and Spider we re-launched in 1995 on a modified version of the Fiat tipo due (type 2) platform (also found under the Fiat Brava/Bravo/Marea/Multipla) and borrowed suspension from the Alfa 155.  Styling was done by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina which resulted in a design gorgeous and sexy, but not without questionable elements that remind me of Megan Fox's thumbs.  Find this 2004 Alfa Romeo Spider Lusso offered for $15,999 in Boston, MA via craigslist.
