 The Bricklin SV-1 was brainchild of billionaire Malcolm Bricklin, noted Philadelphia-born entrepreneur, businessman, con artist, and original importer of the Subaru 360 & Yugo.  Bricklin decided that importing cheap and terrible cars wasn't good enough, so he created his own version with the help of legendary Batmobile designer and beard enthusiast Herb Grasse.  Find this 1975 Bricklin SV1 here on eBay currently bidding for $9,388 with 4 days to go, located in Canton, GA.

The Bricklin SV-1 was brainchild of billionaire Malcolm Bricklin and is no stranger to the pages of the DailyTurismo as these gull-winged equipped nightmares are often mistaken for kit cars and sell for pocket change.  The SV-1 name means Safety Vehicle 1 (did they honestly expect they would build another model?) and it was designed by noted 60's Batmobile designer Herb Grasse. The Bricklin SV-1 was a short lived Canadian built 'sports-car,' the creation of a millionaire dreamer Malcolm Bricklin and designed by noted 60's Batmobile designer Herb Grasse.  The story of the SV-1 sounds a lot like the DeLorean - motivated rich/famous dude thinks he can build a car better than 1000s of engineers at major automotive company and the resulting car is lauded by the press as visionary but ultimately a tremendous flop...hey, did someone just mention Tesla...how cruel...This 1976 Bricklin SV-1 (the name means Safety Vehicle One) is  for sale in the Big Easy for the bargain price of $1999 via craigslist.
