Available for purchase or trade (read specifics on trade below) is an original 1986 Citroen CX Prestige sedan. 117K miles, Automatic, ABS. This is not a CXA car. It is a gray market import to California by Andres Kempe. Vehicle has been certified by California BAR and Federalized. (labels attached) Vehicle is mostly original. The front end has been repainted at some point during the life of the car. All options and accessories operate including suspension, windows, steering, heater A/C. Brakes have 60-70% remaining. No rust at all, nor was there any ever. Cloth interior in good shape no rips seat foam is in good shape. The paint still shines though it is tired on the roof where the clear coat is peeling in some areas. No pets never been smoked in. I am willing to trade plus cash from either side depending on condition for a series 2 estate model with manual transmission. Terms are cash or bank transfer will ship at buyers expense.

Gotta hand it to the French. This is more than 30 years old and it still looks futuristic. And with the Moon discs it looks like it could be a background vehicle in Gattaca, Robocop, Back to the Future 2, or any other "future" movie.

That may be the ugliest car ever made.. you'd have to pay me to even touch it in person.
ReplyDeleteRemarkable car in remarkable condition. As any Citroen, rust is the enemy, not just structural but especially the hydraulic lines that run everything. This car looks to have escaped that dreaded fate. These are as amazing to drive as the D-series. Until you drive one, you can't imagine how different the driving dynamic is. And being a Prestige, the back seat is like riding in a limo. The CXs have not appreciated like the D-series (at least not yet), so that price is attractive.
