Turbo LS Swap: 1999 BMW 740i

This next car comes as a tip from Jeff who writes: Holy Crap... this is awesome...which pretty much sums up my thoughts as well.  Find this 1999 BMW 740i with twin-turbo Chevy power offered for $7499 in Hudson, WI via craigslist.

From the seller:

This isn't your standard oil leaking 7 series. It's been upgraded with a GM 4.8 v8. LS1 intake. Backed by a 4l80e transmission. Tossed a couple of 62mm turbos, twin wastgates dumped through the hood. Intercooled with a bov. 80# injectors. In trunk 15 gallon fuel cell with twin 255 pumps. Tuned on e85.


Daily drove last summer. Stored for the winter. Newer tires. 478whp/528wtq Ready to drive. $7499

    Looks like a clean well thought build ... Oh wait "twin wastgates dumped through the hood" That seems pretty dumb.

      I agree. But body panels are remarkably easy to find in u-pull it lots for e38s. It wouldn't be too difficult to re-route the wastegate dumps.

    Lol, love this rat rod, it looks like the owner took a sawzall and cut 2 holes in the hood for waste dump.
