The Mazda 6 is a 4 door sedan from the Japanese manufacturer Mazda, best known for its wild rotary powered two door RX-7/8 and simple yet efficient corner carving MX-5 convertible. Mazda built a version to compete with other sporty sedans and sold it as the Mazdaspeed 6 from 2005-2007. This
2006 Mazdaspeed 6 is for sale on ebay for $10,900 obo, and located at a Dealer's lot in Philadelphia, PA.

| This single owner Mazdaspeed 6 is a nice 1970's shade of poo-brown and is currently sitting lower than stock. |
 |
| The Mazdaspeed 6 has a 2.3 liter direct injection turbocharged and intercooled
gasoline engine that puts 274 horsepower and 280 ft-lbs of torque into
an all wheel drive system. This example has had a few aftermarket parts put on it and is probably good for a few more ponies~ 300-ish. As a 'plus' the dealer says he "cleaned the turbo" - we aren't sure what this means and hope he used the proper hypo-allergenic soaps that are designed for washing turbochargers. |
 |
| Inside the Mazdaspeed 6 has a pair of sporty bucket seats and a basic economy sedan feel. However, it does have nice steering feel and weight - something Mazda always does right. |
 |
| This Mazda has been de-badged of its Mazdaspeed 6 emblems and front logo making it a bit more stealthy. |
(editor's note: This particular example with the carbon fiber front grill and debadged look should get a Nixon rating on the Richard scale - but a more stock example would be closer to the Lionheart or Hammond.)

Sorry, DT, but you need to work on these rating scales a bit. While an MS6 does have a surprisingly similar 0-60 time to an E36 M3, the experience will feel completely different. And Z car handling?!? No way.
ReplyDeletePersonally, a modded MS6 with nearly 100K miles wouldn't be worth $11K to me, but then again if someone REALLY WANTS an MS6, maybe it's worth it. The reality is that they make a pretty decent sport sedan, and there aren't many out there to choose from.
Yeah - scales need some work. Handling scale especially needs a redesign...send us your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteSurprised to see a Mazda6 on DT - it is not an especially interesting car in MHO
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer to see something a little more unusual
