"It's mine! Mine, I tell you!" is the triumphant post title on 24hoursoflemons.com forums.
24Hours of LeMons forum paddock rat "doctordel" purchased the 1973 Volvo 1800ES that was highlighted on the Thorsday listing from last week - a listing that made DT history with the most number of visitor views.
We hope he is happy with his Volvo and doesn't come looking for us when electrical gremlins and 40 years rusting metal rear their ugly heads. Either way - we are jealous and would have bought this car if our garages weren't already brimming with other projects.

~ @ doctordel,
ReplyDeletewow, good purchase. give it all the TLC it needs and drive the bejesus out of it. i have to agree on OCD airman's mindset, a well cared for 1800ES is a smashing bargain at or near the $12,500 ask. i wonder if we will see it in the next LeMons event?
You may see it AT the next east coast lemons, but definitely not IN the event. That's what the landshark is for. We'll see how that interior color grows on me, seeing as how it was upholstered with the hides of dead Smurfs. Seller says no bondo, no rust, new ignition, etc. Will def get feedback to DT when it arrives...
