Everyone associates the Reliant marque with the suicide machine that has three wheels and a penchant for presenting belly, but Reliant (which somehow missed being lumped into the titanic train wreck known as British Leyland (Austin, Land Rover, Leyland, MG, Jaguar, Mini, Morris, Rover, & Triumph)) built cars that could be driven around a corner without tipping...but expect some challenges with parts availability and general reliability.  The Puma is a small rear-engined sports coupe manufactured in Brazil that was exported engine-less to qualify as a kit car and then a locally sourced aircooled Volkswagen or Porsche flat-4 was added for motive power.  The fiberglass body is surprisingly good looking and thankfully isn't a blatant rip off of an iconic design (550 Spyder, Cobra kit, etc).  Find this 1981 Volkswagen Puma GTE 1981 offered for $6,500 in Anna, TX via craigslist.  Tip from Fueltruck.

The Puma GTE is a small rear-engined sports car built by a Brazilian company that was typically exported engine-less to qualify as a kit car and then a locally sourced aircooled VW or Porsche flat-4 was added to let the car run on its own juices.  The fiberglass body created what was essentially a good looking Karmann Ghia (aka VW Type 34).  Find this 1977 Puma GTE bidding on ebay for $6,901 reserve-not-met with 1 day to go, located in Norman, OK.
