Classic W114: 1973 Mercedes-Benz 220

The W114/W115 generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class was designed by the legendary Paul Bracq and sold from 1968 through 1976.  The W114 was the least expensive Benz in the lineup at the time, and these days it is still a bargain for luxury seekers.  Find this 1973 Mercedes-Benz 220 offered for $4,500 near Boston, MA via craigslist.  Tip from Scott T.

Beater Benz: 1958 Mercedes Benz 220

The 50’s were an exciting time for car design and with the end war ending, the Marshall plan firmly taking hold in Europe, and Germany’s economy on the upswing Mercedes Benz was making classy cruisers while Chevy was throwing fins. While priced low, but not low enough, the seller admits he’s motivated and this could yield a bottom priced fun mobile. Worry about getting the engine running well, keep the body as is, and roll through the posher parts of town like you just don’t care. Can you even use the words Mercedes and beater in the same sentence with our being banished from the Fatherland? Figure it out jetzt! Find this Mercedes Benz 220s in Los Angeles for $2,999 via craigslist.

Black Friday: 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE W111

This next feature is almost a Bracq Friday feature, but ultimately the W111 sedan design is attributed to Friedrich Geiger, but who's counting anyway?  Monsieur Bracq did, however, design the coupe version of the W111 and was probably involved with the sedan as a junior designer at the time.  Find this 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE W111 here on eBay bidding for $7,000 with 4 days to go, located in Downingtown, PA.
