Thursday Twister: Bottom Lined

Today's Thursday Twister is a challenge for all of the craigslist wizards out in the world -- find me the CHEAPEST car that is running/driving and you could take home from craigslist/ebay classifieds/cars.com wherever.



Here is a 1999 Ford Escort that runs/drives well and costs less than a year of full coverage insurance for the average car in LA -- buy it for $400 in Los Angeles, CA.

    my citroen was 150 quid, just sayin' - ok, fixing the hydrofrappadinguepneumatic suspension cost an arm and a leg - it wasn't even the balls but the o-rings

      That regal beastie is the rare and elusive Anticlockwise Haggis. The poor wee lad must have taken quite a tumble to be cowerin' like a bro's thumb in front of my tag there. No worries, I took him home and did the humane thing. He's simmered down nicely, just about ready for supper. Neeps, tatties and a generous dram standing by.

    My '88 244/M47 was $150 plus the cost of a new 16A fuse on the fender to get it running...

      I flipped a pretty nice audio amp a while back $20 + 25c fuse = $400. Fun.

      What does this mean? You can pay the guy $250 if you want *him* to keep them, but if you haul them all away he'll only charge you a buck?
