Welcome back to Garage Creations on Discovery, we are here today in the Northern part of Michigan's lower peninsula, an area home to a number of fascinating indigenous species. We are going to witness another one of life's miracles, in that special time when the frost has cleared from a long winter and the native gear head emerges from the hibernation in welding gas fumigated garages. Today, a young pup takes his first walk on shaky new legs -- let's watch. Find this 1993 Ford You don't need to be a masked vigilante to immediately recognize genius when you see it. The Rumble Bee started life as a Ford Fiesta Limited, but someone, who was not limited by societal norms, decided to create a buggy looking thing.
The seller claims this thing was modified by "Walsh Enterprises" but I couldn't find any other reference to any legitimate car customizing shop with that name. But somebody hacked off the roof and added a roll cage, custom "Harley Davidson exhaust", and jacked up the rear end.
See a car with a more ridiculous wheel offset? tips@dailyturismo.com

Um, wouldn't that have been a Ford Festiva in 1993? No where near as good a car as the Fiesta.
ReplyDeleteSeconded! That's a Festiva not a Fiesta. Completely unrelated vehicles! Common mistake tho.
DeleteYup, the seller had it described incorrectly and my econobox-fu was weak this morning.
Delete"Uses no oil"
ReplyDeleteWhoa, like that slick-50 stuff that AJ Foyt would dump in, drain the oil, then run a lap with an empty crankcase? Sweet!!
S.W.E.E.T!
ReplyDeleteMan, I used to have a 1980 Volvo 240 wagon that I had chopsawed the roof off of and welded in a roll bar for structure, just like this. Named it Chewbacca. Ironically, I sold it only because I was moving home to Michigan (from Austin) and it had only a bimini top.
ReplyDeleteI had a 1973 door Chrysler New Yorker bought for $200 with power leather that we chopped the roof off.
DeleteSpray painted "Hooptie" on the back of it. I was 17 at the time.
For some reason the Police impounded it???
