This is a first generation (MK I) GTI, not a 2nd generation as you list it. If it is a U.S. market car then it had 90hp when new, not 110. Also, the Mk I was never available with the 16 valve motor. 8 valve only for this one.

ReplyDeleteToo bad you skipped the banter part, since that would have involved informing your readers that this specimen is a US built GTI and they were decidedly inferior to the German built GTIs in many ways.
