15k: Bank Job: 1969 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 W109

The Mercedes-Benz W108/109 chassis was originally designed to use Mercedes' own smooth and durable M130 inline-6, but internet legend states that a private engineer stuck the M100 6.3 liter V8 from the 600-series "Grosser" limousine and got a director to take the car for a spin.  The resulting 2-ton sedan was able to keep up with contemporary sports & muscle cars and Mercedes-Benz built 6,500 of the beasts.  Find this 1969 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 for sale via ebay in Southport, CT and note that it recently failed to meet reserve at $13,200.

NoPrice: Stuttgart Steamer: 1968 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3; Some Assy Required

Here at the Daily Turismo we prefer our potential cars to be used and depreciated classics in daily driver condition, as this tends to give us the best value for our money and time.  There are however, some cars that fall outside of our normal budget unless they are in dilapidated condition.  This 1968 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 certainly qualifies as a project car and could be a wicked cruiser when finished.  Find it for sale in the SF Bay Area, CA for 'accepting-all-offers' via craigslist and stay with us as we discuss why this may be a project worth your time.
