It's a blast.
And you never have to worry about the next time it breaks (which, hopefully, won't be during your ride).
Because when you spend more of your time looking at the car as a really cool paperweight, the passion kinda fades...

There is a ton of stuff incorrect/changed with this car, but if it's mechanically sorted, it's a pretty decent deal on a chrome bumper MGB at that price. Just be really careful to check the VIN against a decoder because there's a lot I see with this car that makes me question it being a '67 vs. a '68 or '69. Not a big deal, but it does affect value and desirability, not to mention potential title shenanigans.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the open engine compartment speaks volumes about the paint. Lots of paint is where it should not be, with sags etc. What is it about paint shops that they will spend hours upon hours sanding, but but can't spend an extra twenty minutes masking and removing bits like the latch and the hood springs.
