The Pontiac G8 was a Holden Commodore covered in Pontiac badges (and body cladding) imported to the US market from Australia for only two years, 2008 and 2009. There was a base V6, a V8 powered GT model, but the good stuff was saved for the GXP, a MY2009 only LS3 powered brute available with a 6-speed manual or auto gearbox. Pontiac only imported 1,800 of the GXP sedans, which maintained most of their original cost for many years, but this next car is either the best deal in town or a crafty scammer...because the price is crazy. Find this 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP offered for $13,500 in SF Bay Area, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck. From the seller:
2009 Pontiac g8 gxp

I have a beautiful GXP 6 speed flawless, I'm the 2nd owner, I never seen or had a g8 this clean ever , its has 3m clear bra and tints , completely stock, it is salvaged title in my name, no tire kickers, brand new tires
I'm very firm , if you offer less I will not respond, I dont want trades unless it's a flawless grand national
Thanks

My B.S. detector is going off after reading the fuel type is diesel!
ReplyDeleteI see that sort of error often. I suspect it's a combination of awkwardness with a drop-down menu, and failure to do a basic proofread preview before publishing.
Delete"..............salvage tile...."
ReplyDeleteHe better pony up some cash if he wants to swap a salvage title Pontiac for a 'flaweless' GN - as the prices on those things are starting to skyrocket just in the past few years.
ReplyDeleteDamn that Viagra and Diesel is a bad combo.....rofl
ReplyDeleteBeen looking @ 04-06 GTO'S & now some G8'S lot's of rebuilt titles out there Guess i can't drive 55 with out crashing....
ReplyDeleteI did see a couple of candy-colored Holdens driving about Anchorage in the past month... wonder what's up.
ReplyDeleteI was passed by a Chevy SS with holden badges this weekend. They are some BIG badges and it looked sharp in blue. Custom plates said "GDAY M8"
ReplyDeleteAll of the Holden variants total out pretty easily due to limited numbers in the US & high cost of body panels. I drive a '09 G8 GT and need a new front bumper (which hangs unnecessarily low and gets snagged on a lot of curbs, etc.) Price for the plastic alone is $1,200 plus prep, paint & install. Sheet metal & glass is also pricey. I'd be curious what damage resulted in the car being totaled.
