I would bet the Chinese automakers will underestimate the level of corrosives that Americans slather on their roads in the winter just as the Japanese makers did when they first started exporting cars here. In the words of the great Yogi Berra: "It's deja-vu all over again."
ReplyDeleteDo you think this would be embarrassing enough that my teenager would start walking all the places I drive her to now?
ReplyDeleteYes, especially if you made her ride in the back, with the dog.
DeleteThat was hilarious Bobinott!
DeleteWhat stops this from going all Reliant Robin out on the road?
DeleteA top speed of about 8 mph?
DeleteThe batteries are heavy and low in the frame so it is pretty stable. Keep in mind it is a motorcycle, so much more stable, versatile, and safe than its two-wheeled brethren.
DeleteIt turns every head. I get a lot of "cool car" and thumbs up from kids and adults alike. I usually shout "thanks, it is a motorcycle!" and with the savings in insurance and fuel this thing will pay for itself in a couple years of driving.
