20k: Costco Sized: 6 Fiat X1/9s and 3 SAAB Sonetts

If you like shopping in bulk and buying a bunch of crap that is just going to rot in the garage you converted to a pantry...we've got a treat for you!  The general consensus on the $15k Bertone X/19 custom posted last week is that it costs about ten times as much as any X1/9 will ever be worth.  A good illustration of both the value of buying in bulk and the condition of the X1/9 market is today's feature from tipper Alex V who calls this the X1 9 times loser.  Find this pack of 6 Fiat X1/9s and 3 SAAB Sonetts offered for $19,999 in Pomona, CA via craigslist.

We've discussed the phenomenom of classics attracting additional parts cars like some sort of captive breeding program and it is a well known factor with many older Triumphs, MGs, SAABs and...well...anything where the price of a parts car is less than the cost of a new bumper.  The Fiat X1/9 and SAAB Sonett both fall into this market category, but it is surprising to see this sort of collection in land-squeezed Southern California.

This "collection" is being sold as a group from the estate of a Fiat/SAAB collector and the full list of cars is here:

1. Blue with yellow wheels 1976 Fiat X19
2. Yellow 1974 Fiat X19
3. Silver 1981 Fiat X19
4. Gray 1979 Fiat X19 - twin cam engine
5. Brown 1985 Fiat X19 Bertone
6. Red and black 1984 Fiat X19
7. Brown 1973 Saab Sonett III - turbo charged engine
8. Green 1971 Saab Sonett III
9. Blue 1974 Saab Sonett III
